Tomorrow, high school students are encouraged to dress up for our STUCO Sponsored Halloween Costume Contest! It'll be a day of fun and creativity and for a great cause. 🎁 Proceeds from the contest will benefit our local Christmas Adopt-a-Family program, helping those in need during the holiday season. Encourage your student to show their spirit and creativity while supporting our community!

Yesterday, Mrs. Reed's Zoology class embarked on a field trip to the Prophet Aquatic Research and Outreach Center at Emporia State University! 🌊 The students dived deep into ichthyology, learning from experts about the fascinating world of fish. They showcased their skills in fish taxonomy through a fun naming activity and explored the ancient art of Gyotaku, creating prints inspired by Japanese fishing traditions. 🎨🐟 The adventure continued outdoors with fishing and a nature walk, where they learned about the riparian restoration project at Campus Woods. 🌳🎣 In the afternoon, they toured the Schmidt Museum of Natural History, home to over 600 preserved Kansas species, and the Johnston Geology Museum, featuring incredible specimens from Kansas's ancient past. 🦖🦅 What an awesome experience!

Today, our RHHS counselors held 'Apply Kansas Day' to help our seniors kickstart their college journey. 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝑨𝒑𝒑𝒍𝒚 𝑲𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒂𝒔? Apply Kansas is a statewide campaign designed to help more students apply, enroll, and succeed in college. Throughout October, seniors across Kansas are applying to colleges with support from school staff and their peers. Good luck to all of our Seniors! You just took the first step towards achieving your dreams! 💪

Last Friday, the talented members of RHHS's Rocketaires took part in the All-State Audition Workshop at Wichita State University, gearing up for their District Honor Choir auditions in November. 🎶 Last Saturday, members of the RHHS choirs attended the All-State Prep Day at Friends University. These students had an intensive session learning their All-State music with the guidance of collegiate-level teachers and students. 🎶
