HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: The Reading Challenge is here! Reading Passports are available to pick up in the library. To participate, students will check out and read books that fit within the different genres listed in the passport. After reading a book that fits the category, they will come to the library for a brief chat with Mrs. A about the book they read and a stamp on that passport page.
Students can earn prizes at 2, 4 and 6 stamps.
A completed passport earns an invite to a pizza lunch on April 24.
Grab your Reading Passport, dive into the world of books, and embark on a literary journey! 📚

In Mrs. Holland's High School Chemistry I class, the students have been diving deep into the world of matter and chemical reactions. 💥🧬
The first pics are from an Aluminum + Copper (II) Chloride Reaction. 🧪✨ The students observed a mesmerizing vivid color change, a noticeable shift in temperature, and the release of gas bubbles. 🌡️🌬️ What a sight! This experiment opened our eyes to the fascinating world of chemical reactions.
In our second test tube experiment, they explored the reaction between zinc and hydrochloric acid (HCl). 💥🔥 But that's not all! They also learned to recognize the characteristic barking sound of hydrogen gas during ignition. 🔊💨 Plus, they got hands-on experience with the wood splint test to identify different gases produced during chemical reactions.
All these exciting experiments have helped the students gain a deeper understanding of matter and the incredible transformations it undergoes!

Check out Soccer results from 10/5 and see upcoming game/meet info for Football and Cross Country!
