𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫! We're doing great with whole blood appointments for our upcoming blood drive, but we need more Power Red donors! A Power Red donation counts as two pints toward our goal of 26 pints (double red cells) and is especially needed for trauma patients, newborns, people with sickle cell anemia, and emergency transfusions during birth. 🩸 📝 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗱? Power Red allows you to donate two units of red blood cells while safely returning your plasma and platelets. It's a critical donation that can save lives. Learn more here: https://www.redcrossblood.org/donate-blood/how-to-donate/types-of-blood-donations/power-red-donation.html 📅 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽? We need donors who meet the height/weight requirements, so if you're eligible, please consider donating Power Red! Our goal is 26 pints - if we collect 26 or more, we could raise up to $1,000 for scholarships. If we collect 25 or fewer, the scholarship is still $500. It's a win-win for our students and the community! 🔗 Sign up to donate: https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive-results?zipSponsor=RosehillHS

🚨 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 – 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 🚨 Prom is tomorrow, and while the forecast no longer calls for rain during arrival time, the temperatures will still be cold and the ground will be soggy. Because of this, we will not be able to follow our traditional outdoor prom arrival routine, as there is no covered shelter available. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰: ✨ Upon arrival, students will hand their keys to valet as usual. ✨ There will not be a traditional red carpet entrance this year. ✨ Students should plan to take all outdoor photos before arriving at the venue. ✨ A photographer will be inside to capture the special night. ✨ Students will still be announced—but this will happen 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 the venue. It may only be Tuesday, but Mrs. Reed's Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Zoology students have already had an exciting and interactive week in the classroom! 🟢 Biology students put their population estimation skills to the test by conducting quadrat sampling of dandelions around the school—turning their lessons into real-world data collection. 🩸 Anatomy & Physiology students had a special visit from guest speaker Jasmin, a professional phlebotomist, who shared her expertise on proper blood-drawing techniques. Students even got hands-on experience using our practice arm!🐾 Zoology students focused on animal health and wellness by practicing proper handling techniques while taking the heart and respiratory rates of our resident rats. We love seeing our students apply their knowledge in meaningful ways!

Congratulations Alex for placing 2nd in Humor Interpretation at a recent Forensics Invitational in Derby! 👏 This was a LARGE competition with many Wichita-area schools competing. In case you didn't know, Forensics is competitive speech and acting and Humor Interpretation (or "Humor Interp" - like what Alex placed in) is one of the many events where students perform a funny piece from a book, play, or script—all on their own. In Humor Interp, competitors bring characters to life using voices, facial expressions, and body language to make the audience laugh—all without props or costumes! Imagine acting out an entire comedy scene, switching between characters on the fly, and keeping everyone entertained for 10 minutes straight. It’s like being a one-person sitcom! If you love performing, making people laugh, or just want to boost your confidence and public speaking skills, Forensics is for you! 🎤✨ 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐮𝐩: RHHS Forensics competes at 4A Regionals on April 12! Wish them luck as they take the stage and represent the Rockets! 🚀 Way to go, Alex! You rocked that stage this weekend! 🚀

March is National Athletic Training Month, and we want to take a moment to recognize James Werbin, Rose Hill High School’s Certified & Licensed Athletic Trainer. James works tirelessly to support every Rose Hill athlete across all sports, ensuring they stay safe and healthy throughout their seasons. He even assists with middle school injuries, extending his care to our younger athletes when needed. What’s even more special is that this year marks the first time Rose Hill has had a dedicated athletic trainer, as James was hired directly by the district, after years of contracting services through Susan B. Allen and Mid America Orthopedics. James is not just an incredible professional but also one of the biggest fans of our students and teams (right alongside all of the families!). We are grateful for his commitment and passion for supporting our athletes, and we are proud to have him as a part of the Rose Hill family! 🚀
