🥎 Tonight marks a historic moment for Rocket Nation as we host the inaugural game on our brand-new on-campus softball turf field! First pitch is at 4 PM as the Lady Rockets take on the Wellington Crusaders, and the entire community is invited to be part of this special event. 💛
Please park on the west side of the High School and walk to the new field, or take advantage of our golf cart rides. We kindly ask that no one park in the grass, as conditions are muddy.
Bleacher seating is available, but feel free to bring lawn chairs if you’d like a closer view of the action.
Let’s pack the sidelines and show our support for this incredible milestone made possible by our entire community!
Afterwards, feel free to take in the baseball game just a short walk to the next field over. ⚾

This morning, we enjoyed our annual Appreciation Staff Breakfast. It's a time to say hello to the other educators and staff that we don't see outside of our normal buildings, and reflect on the amazing work happening across our schools.
One of the most meaningful parts of the morning was honoring our 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 retirees, who together represent nearly 𝟭𝟭𝟰 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗹 and more than 172 years in education. What an incredible legacy!
𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀:
❤️ Dr. Julie McPherron – 5 years in Rose Hill | 38 total in education
🖤 Mr. Jim Linot – 28 years in Rose Hill | 31 total in education
🤍 Lisa Jones – 30 years in Rose Hill
❤️ Roger Grier – 19 years in Rose Hill | 23 total in education
🖤 Denise Ezell – 3 years in Rose Hill | 21 total in education
🤍 Denise Lasher – 15 years in Rose Hill | 15 total in education
❤️ Liz Dock – 14 years in Rose Hill
You have left your mark on generations of students, families, and fellow Rockets. Thank you for your dedication, heart, and service. Please know.... You’ll always be a Rocket. 🚀

Today is National School Nurse Day, and we’re sending a big Rocket thank you to our awesome healthcare heroes who keep our students safe, comforted, and cared for every single day.
❤️ Mrs. Treto – for being the calming presence at the Elementary School.
❤️ Miss Gina – for being the Elementary CNA who’s always one step ahead.
❤️ Mrs. Smith – for holding it down at the Middle School with heart and hustle!
❤️ Mrs. Forgie – our District RN and High School go-to for everything health-related (and more!)
From ice packs to tough conversations to helping kids (and adults) feel seen and supported, you do it all. Without you, we’d be lost in a sea of sniffles, nurse passes, and mystery stomachaches.

Even though April’s Month of the Military Child has come to a close, we’re proud to spotlight Rose Hill Senior Adam Bilby – featured in VYPE Kansas thanks to Davis Moore Chevrolet!
With both parents proudly serving in the U.S. Air Force, Adam was raised with high expectations, discipline, and a no-quit mentality, lessons that have shaped him on and off the field. Those values helped prepare him for the demands of athletics and are now propelling him toward his next chapter at Virginia Military Institute, where he plans to pursue a career as a Green Beret in the U.S. Army. 💪🇺🇸

𝐑𝐇𝐇𝐒 𝐙𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐆𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬-𝐎𝐧 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐙𝐨𝐨!
Last week, 15 of Mrs. Reed's Zoology students volunteered with zoo staff at the Sedgwick County Zoo, helping with animal care and getting hands-on experience with what it's like to be a zookeeper. From cleaning bird ponds to observing black swan wellness checks and prepping meals for mammals, our students went above and beyond! Afterwards, they were able to enjoy some of the other exhibits including the baby elephants and their adorable zoomies!
That's not all! -- A special shoutout to the group, who were complimented by a fellow zoo visitor for their outstanding work ethic and respectful behavior. Way to represent Rose Hill with pride! 👏🏼
