Promotion for RHMS 8th Graders will be Friday, May 17 at 9:30 AM in the Middle School Gymnasium. Please plan to arrive no earlier than 9:10. Friends and family of all 8th graders are invited to attend this "special" event in the lives of our students. This year we are working to make Promotion both fun and meaningful for students, families and staff. Students will be wearing their Class T-Shirts so "dress-up" clothes are not necessary but I do hope that they will wear nice shorts or jeans/slacks (no athletic shorts or pajama bottoms). After the promotion students will be going bowling. Parents should have already received information regarding T-Shirts and After-Promotion activities. If you have any questions please call the Middle School (316.776.3320) or email me (trobertson@usd394.com). Thanks! We look forward to seeing you on May 17 to celebrate our 8th graders.

What a cool experience for four of our 8th-grade students who recently served as pages at the Kansas Legislature. Big applause to Marissa Jensen, Elijah & Lucas Goodrich, and Meredith Beaver for representing our school with enthusiasm and curiosity!
Under the guidance of RHMS teacher, Ms. Sally Smith, our students had the chance to meet Governor Kelly and witness democracy in action!
The students sat in on crucial House and Senate meetings where important bills were voted on. What an incredible opportunity to witness the legislative process in action! 🗳️🏛️
After lunch, our pages explored the Capitol, including a super cool trip to the Dome at the very top of the building. What a view!

Principal Robertson channeled his inner quarterback skills with Patrick Mahomes after the Chiefs' exciting Super Bowl win last night! 🏈✨ Mr. Robertson sure knows how to shake off the stress of a Monday and bring some touchdown vibes to the office! 😀

Picture packets for the middle school spring picture day should be coming home soon (if they haven't already). Picture day will be Thursday, Feb. 22. Parents can order online ahead of time with the code: EVT8PQDS6, or wait until proofs are in to order.

Parents: We have several illnesses making the rounds at the middle school. If your student is running a temperature or presenting symptoms, please keep them home to help mitigate the spread of germs. Be sure to call the office to report their absence. Any student running a temperature of 100.1 or higher at school will be sent home. As a reminder, if a student is absent 3 or more consecutive days, they will be required to provide a doctor's note to the office for their absences. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school healthy!
